Hello and
welcome!
Do you ever wonder, “Is there more to the
life I am living?” Have you ever asked, “Who am I becoming?”
or “What is my purpose or mission?” Have you ever mused over
the thought of living a life of greater
significance?
Maybe in this chapter of your life you
are finding these to be questions well worth pursuing. Is it possible
that while on this quest, you find yourself more open to including God
as a viable voice and influencer amidst the search for answers to
life’s most meaningful questions? If so, then welcome to
Watershed, a church where urban lives intersect the Divine; where
conversation, creativity, & compassion coalesce; where it’s
safe to be an inquirer; where transformation is our mantra; where
relationships go beyond surface level; where you can come as you are;
where kids are viewed as our greatest investment in the
future.
We are truly glad you are here and
are considering Watershed as a community in which to explore some of
the most pressing questions of your life and the world. During your
season of discovery, we hope the remainder of this page is helpful in
answering some of the basic questions you may have in regards to the
validity of this community assisting and hopefully enhancing your
forward motion with God. We wish God’s very best for you as
you continue to explore.

What is
"Transit"?
Transit is

expect a multitude of experiences ranging from an environment rich in
ambiance, insightful conversations and teaching, to great music, and

What opportunities are available for my
children?
Our most
valuable asset as a church is our children. Greenhouse is an
enjoyable and exciting environment of growth and connection.
Its design is to provide multiple learning experiences in a safe,
age-appropriate, interactive, and most importantly fun
environment. Greenhouse happens during both Transit
experiences on Sunday's at Actor's Theater. Click here

What options are available for relational

Transit?
Watershed
values deeply authentic relationships. Blocs are the

purposeful causes. Click here

I
have an interest in serving on one of the volunteer teams for Sunday
morning Transit.
Currently

Greenhouse a huge success. Our volunteers are the
best! They are deeply committed, highly motivated and
compassionate people. Access the links below if you are

I
would like to know more about Watershed's Purpose and
Values?
Watershed's purpose is to be
a "Missional community engaging Jesus and people in
life". We are passionate about several expressions of life
and faith that we believe are central to what it means to "be the
church" in this day and age. Click here
for a more detailed
explanation.
How are leadership opportunities and expectations
defined at Watershed?
We
continue to be richly blessed with incredible leadership here at
Watershed. Currently there are nearly 60 adults who compose
our leadership community called Threshold. Watershed defines
and identifies its leadership through this collective group of people
that have agreed on several essential beliefs, which we feel reflects
what it means to be “The Church”. If you are interested in
knowing more about Threshold and the leadership at Watershed, click

What is Movies in the Park,
and how can I become
involved?
Each summer during the months of May
through August, Watershed holds a community wide event at the freedom
Park Amphitheater called Movies in the Park. Essentially,
this is a family friendly evening inclusive of door prizes, free
popcorn and a free outdoor movie. This is a enormous event in
partnership with the Mecklenburg County Parks and Rec and can draw up
to a thousand people. It is also enormously labor intensive
and requires a large volunteer force. If you are interested
in being a part of the Movies in the Park volunteer team, contact Matt
O'Neil.
