What if this year we were more concerned with decking our HEARTS than our HALLS? Every year about this time we engage the annual holiday routine. We trim the tree. We primp and prepare for parties. We make difficult decisions about which giant blow-up Christmas character appropriately exhibits our refined tastes. We willingly and foolhardily enter into the fray of shoppers who believe that this year’s performance will certainly propel them into some holiday hall of fame. And, as the tree falls and the party winds down, as Rudolph's nose springs a leak and the mall finally closes its doors, we pray that somebody…anybody…has spiked the punch. For many of us, it's been a rough year. If the economy, job market and war weren't enough, many of us are dealing with our own personal battles. Bottom line, we all struggle with an internal peace-deficit and reacquainting ourselves with how the Peacemaker whose birth began all this hoopla could possibly help re-center our souls before 2010 arrives. At Watershed, we're asking instead of being exhausted by "cash and dash" mentality, what if we "strike the (proverbial) harp and join the chorus"? We believe that "heavenly peace" can be more than a holiday cliché. We also know that bringing others comfort and joy this year will do the same for your soul. Consider spending the season with us! Sundays :: December 6-20 @ 10:30am
