In light of the recent crisis in Haiti, we wanted to take a moment and communicate how we as a community are responding to the recent developments, and ways that you can get involved. In the past, some of our international impact has been through two reputable organizations: World Help (www.worldhelp.net) and Love Haiti Missions (www.lovehaiti.com). Both organizations are deeply involved in Haiti through fresh water initiatives and orphan feeding/support projects. We have chosen to give $1,000 to each of these organizations because they are proven entities, and we have an established relationship with each group.
If you feel compelled to give towards this crisis, but want to be confident your gifts will be used with integrity and intentionality, World Help and Love Haiti Missions are credible, trustworthy and strategic organizations that have the capacity to channel resources to areas of immediate need. Let's continue to see our lives as conduits of God's resources in our life, so that others in need might find hope and healing when they need it most.
