UNDERCOVER POET / CHEF EXTRAORDINAIRE / BOOK WORM / ETERNAL OPTIMIST
POINT OF ORIGIN
IN A NUTSHELL
A former chef and wine enthusiast, I love to host dinner parties and cook for other people. I have an addiction to all things coffee, love meeting new people, and am full of useless information that I interject into conversations randomly. Although my professional background is in Hospitality Management, and Higher Education Administration, God called me to serve others in unique ways so I currently work as personal assistant where I get paid to keep people organized and travel--two things I love! Aspiring author, fluent in sarcasm and beginners French.
Sushi, travel, long conversations over coffee, nights under the stars, great novels, dinner parties, March Madness.
HOW I COLLIDED WITH WATERSHED
I have known people at Watershed since it started but never attended until my close friend Chris was getting baptized in 2013. Something about that service really spoke to me and my heart kept calling me back.
FAVORITE FACET OF THE SHED
I love that our community is centered on the idea of asking questions, especially the hard ones. It’s not always about finding an answer; it’s digging deeper into the conversation with those you trust. It’s about being open, vulnerable, and willing to grow as a person. I think those are really important values.
My second favorite thing about Watershed is how strong the community is outside of a Sunday morning. I can call anyone in the community (and have) when I’m in a bind and within minutes there is a group of people lined up to help me anyway they can.
MY CURRENT LIFE LEARNING
I’m CONSTANTLY learning to let go, breathe deeply, and be still.
BET YOU'D NEVER GUESS THAT
I’ve jumped out of an airplane, studied to be a sommelier, and have lived in 8 states.
OTHER WAYS I SERVE IN OUR WATERSHED COMMUNITY
I also co-lead Her:Gather.
