HIGH SCHOOLERS SHOULD ATTEND THE SUNDAY GATHERING

middle school bloc meets in the greenhouse wing during our second gathering at 11am

Plaza midwood international cultural center | 1817 Central avenue | charlotte, nc | 28205

The Middle School Bloc (MSB) is for students in 6th through 8th grade.

MSB is an energetic and friendly environment where middle school students can meet other students, have fun, and hear about Jesus in a way that is relevant to their lives. Middle school students participate in the first 20 minutes of the Sunday Gathering, before heading over to MSB for age-appropriate activities and group discussion. In MSB, we focus on the same topics that are discussed in the Sunday Gathering, in a way that makes sense for middle schoolers.

Our hope is that middle school students form relationships with each other and their leaders, so that they too can do life with one another!

MSB offers occasional opportunities for students to serve, as we desire students to develop a passion for service so that they too can work to bring heaven into the here and now.

Parents: We want you to know that we consider it both a privilege and a great responsibility to be with your middle school student in this context. Because of this, our volunteers go through an application process that includes a background check. Your student is a valuable priority to this community and we want the best for him or her!

For more information about MSB, please contact Watershed’s Students Pastor, Jonathan George (jonathan@watershedcharlotte.com).

The High School Bloc (HSB) is for students in 9th through 12th grade.

HSB (High School Bloc) is an authentic community for high school students to navigate and cultivate their faith alongside peers and other adults. We view high school as a formative period of expanding maturity, thus we strive to engage with the questions, aspirations, and fears of our high school students with honesty and respect.

In order to help our high school students develop as followers of Jesus, we’ve developed a mentorship program, HSBLead, which pairs students with a leader. The official structure of the mentorship lasts for six weeks in both the Fall and Spring semesters, but our hope is that these relationships continue long beyond this time.

HSB offers occasional opportunities for students to serve, as we desire students to develop a passion for service so that they too can work to bring heaven into the here and now. Additionally, we encourage all high school students to serve in Greenhouse.
