Every other Friday we take a moment to introduce you to someone in our community who serves in one or more of Watershed's many volunteer areas: GreenHouse/Shed Students, Sunday Teams, Catapult, Bloc Leading, etc. The featured volunteer will then select someone he/she would like to see highlighted next.
This week, meet Liz!
Volunteer Area(s): Formerly teardown, but now will be a traffic controller! I’ll get to put my directionally challenged self to the test. I hope we get those cool handheld lights like those people on the airport runway.
Why did you choose to volunteer in your area?
I like to sleep in. :)
What has been one of your favorite moments as a volunteer?
Seeing all the Watershed community gather and catch up after each Gathering. So many hugs (and lots of plaid)!
If you could use only one word to describe our Watershed community, what would it be?
Open. I believe Watershed embraces everyone from all walks and stages of life. We pour love into everyone and everything that we meet.
Describe your perfect day in Charlotte:
That’s a tough one. I would have to say April 25th because it’s not too hot, not too cold, all you need is a light jacket.
NEXT I'D LIKE WATERSHED TO FEATURE GWEN SAUNDERS BECAUSE... SHE'S EXTREMELY TALENTED, QUITE LOVELY, AND A BADASS!
