Every other Friday we take a moment to introduce you to someone in our community who serves in one or more of Watershed's many volunteer areas: GreenHouse/Shed StudentsSunday TeamsCatapultBloc Leading, etc. The featured volunteer will then select someone he/she would like to see highlighted next.

This week, meet David!

Volunteer Area(s):

EVERGREENS

Why did you choose to volunteer in your area?

Evergreens is fun (read easy) age.  They are independent but listen to you most of the time.

What has been one of your favorite moments as a volunteer?

Watching all of the children grow and develop. They change so much from the time they first get into the classroom til the time they leave. Just being really proud of who they are becoming.

If you could use only one word to describe our Watershed community, what would it be?

Freeing.

Describe your perfect day in Charlotte:

Waking up with our 19-month old and cooking some breakfast on a Saturday while momma and our 11-week old get a little more sleep. Walking to the park and maybe grabbing a sour ale on the way back at Sycamore Brewery if the little ones are not too cranky. Let's say its mid-spring so we get a baby sitter to put the kids down and go enjoy a baseball game at BB&T park. :)
