Every other Tuesday, we take a moment to introduce you to someone in our community who serves in one or more of Watershed's many volunteer areas: GreenHouse/Shed Students, Sunday Teams, Catapult, Bloc Leading, etc. The featured volunteer will then select someone he/she would like to see highlighted next.
This week, meet Tina!
GreenHouse and miscellaneous general whatever. I have been in the older GreenHouse, call them what you want-- club 46. Redwoods since there was a club 46....when Jyoti was that old. And Sulley took a dare with an Easter egg in his mouth. Burnt in my memory. I remember asking Keane what Jesus looked like after he rose again. Keane said a loaf of bread. Wow. Deep.
Why did you choose to volunteer in your area(s)?
I chose to volunteer in Greenhouse because kids say and do the funniest things. Plus, I learn a lot about their parents, too. Plus, I like having variety.
What has been one of your favorite moments as a volunteer?
Playing truth or dare with the pastors kids. Seeing kids who outgrow my class come back and visit.
If you could use only one word to describe our Watershed community, what would it be?
Describe your perfect day in Charlotte:
With the sun shining, go to Uptown, ride the trolley and/or train, get off and on at every stop, go out to eat, take in a show with friends, go thrift store shopping, spend time with a person on the street, do something at church, eat again. Go home.
NEXT I'D LIKE WATERSHED TO FEATURE ADAM DESAUTELS BECAUSE…
I am certain he has something to say.
