IN A NUTSHELL
Originally from Raleigh, I'm a proud Clemson Tiger who loves discussion (especially with different points of view), reading (historical fiction or books that help me fall more in love with Jesus, please), and conspiracy theories (ask me who killed JFK). I went on a relief trip to New Orleans post Hurricane Katrina and life was never the same: I fell in love with the rebuilding effort, and the engaging, hilarious, and handsome leader of the trip. David and I married two years later, and made our home in the NOLA area for three years. I now work full time at the Westin Charlotte as a Meeting and Event Planner, although I think my title should be "Magician". You can find me practicing yoga, eating Brueggers bagels, singing along to musicals, watching The Walking Dead, cheering on the Saints, and maybe helping David raise the three chickens in our backyard.
HOW I COLLIDED WITH WATERSHED:
We were looking for a few months after moving to Charlotte and kept seeing the yard signs for the "Blessed are the Eclectic" series. I thought it was for an art show, and David pointed out it was for a church. We came one Sunday in September, and that next Tuesday I went to my first Her:Grow bloc; loved the discussion, laughter, and genuine hearts of my new friends and have never looked back!
FAVORITE PART OF GREENHOUSE:
Happy Seedlings reaching out to the volunteer greeting them at the door, ready to play and snack on Puffs! I love holding the littles, praying over them and their families, as their parents enjoy the Sunday Gatherings. I love the safe, fun, gracious environment that Watershed is committed to cultivating to show babies and children the love and truth of Christ, which encourages hearts and minds of all ages!
