PRIDE Festival

Kindred Community would like to invite our greater Watershed community to join their Bloc at the 2019 Charlotte Pride Festival & Parade! The mission of Charlotte Pride is to enrich, empower, strengthen & make visible LGBTQ people in Charlotte & the Carolinas. The annual Charlotte Pride Festival & Parade attracted more than 150,000 visitors in 2017 (a double-digit increase from 2016!) and they're looking forward to another fun and successful event this year! Kindred will have a booth set up at the event. Please consider volunteering and representing the Watershed community or visit the booth and join the festivities!

WHO: Anyone!
WHAT: 2019 Charlotte Pride Festival & Parade
WHEN: Saturday, August 17th and/or Sunday, August 18th
WHERE: Uptown Charlotte

Sign up below to let the Kindred Bloc know if you would like to join! More information will be provided once the volunteer schedule is finalized.

The meeting point will be in the staging area for all parade floats and vehicles. We will be staged on Tryon Street near where it intersects 11th street. We will be walking with a blue Jeep, so everyone can find our group by finding the blue Jeep. We need everyone to check in at this blue Jeep by 12:45pm for a short meeting to cover some guidelines for walking in the parade. The parade will end at the intersection of Trade & College St. We are selling t-shirts to wear in the parade, but they are not required. All are welcome, the more the merrier.
